In order to reference a resource reliably, the resource needs to be reliable. If this is not the case, you get broken links, useless citations. There is a conflict in choosing between content that is released and set in stone and content that evolves over time. How to navigate this is an important part of creating a mnemonic internet. We may have: - Ephemeral content. Like these notes. I might reorganize material over time. - Static content. Like a PDF or journal article with a DOI - Something in between? Like, Aidan's notes on the mnemonic medium might be useful. This could be some kind of reference to a stable resource that knows how to find a good match to the best current item. I.e. Aidan's notes are in a stable namespace, but the substructure changes, but is searchable from the stable namespace. #softwaredesign
