Idiot boosting is when you promote, in a clandestine fashion, the most idiotic / straw man version of your opponent's positions or camp in general. Often, the public figures being boosted in an idiot boosting operation are not necessarily plants or false flags, but rather convenient idiots who genuinely believe their rhetoric. This is obviously not always the case, but it's strictly simpler to boost an existing idiot than to AstroTurf one. #politics #propaganda
